AZ Steps Expulsion Prevention Partnership

Robin’s Place Childcare partners with AZ Steps, a statewide training and technical assistance program focused on expulsion prevention. Through this partnership, our staff receives expert guidance and resources to understand and meet the underlying needs that can lead to challenging behaviors. AZ Steps helps us strengthen the social-emotional skills every child needs for lifelong success. Most importantly, we do not expel children. Instead, we use every resource and strategy available to support each child’s growth, ensuring that every family feels secure and every child is given the opportunity to thrive.

Smart Support Consultation

At Robin’s Place Childcare, we are committed to ensuring that every child receives the support they need for a strong start in Kindergarten. To further this mission, we have recently partnered with Smart Support, Arizona’s Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation System. This collaboration focuses on three key areas within our center, including promoting social-emotional well-being and addressing individual children's needs. With this support, we strive to bridge developmental gaps early, giving every child the best possible foundation for success.

Special Needs Care

At Robin’s Place Childcare, we proudly provide care for children with a variety of special needs, including Autism, Learning Disabilities, Behavioral Challenges, ADHD, and more. Our team is dedicated to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can thrive. We have two licensed and certified Special Education teachers on-site, along with experienced instructional assistants who specialize in supporting children with diverse needs. Our staff is trained to provide personalized care and learning strategies to ensure that each child receives the attention and guidance they deserve. At Robin’s Place, every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential in a safe, structured, and compassionate setting.

On-Site Wrap-Around Services

At Robin’s Place, we welcome a variety of wrap-around services and therapies right here in our center. Families can arrange for speech, occupational, physical, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy sessions to take place during the child’s day, providing consistent care in a familiar setting. This approach helps children receive the support they need while staying engaged with their classmates and daily routine.

Transportation

Robin’s Place offers safe and reliable transportation for children to and from local schools as well as therapy centers. Our goal is to make daily routines easier for families while ensuring your child’s safety and comfort every step of the way. 

Developmental Screening with ASQ-3

At Robin’s Place, we use the Ages & Stages Questionnaire (ASQ-3), a trusted developmental screener for children from 1 month to 5½ years old. The ASQ-3 is parent-friendly and highly accurate, helping identify potential developmental delays as early as possible.

Understanding where your child is developmentally allows us to support proper growth and skill development. If gaps are identified, early intervention ensures they can be addressed more effectively, giving your child the best start possible.

Social/Emotional Screening with ASQ:SE-2

At Robin’s Place, we use the Ages & Stages Questionnaire: Social-Emotional (ASQ:SE-2) to track young children’s social-emotional development during the crucial first six years of life. This screening tool helps identify children who may be near developmental cutoffs, with targeted questions about behavior and communication designed to capture parent concerns, including early indicators of autism.

Gradual Entry Program – Infant Room

The Gradual Entry Program at Robin’s Place allows infants to transition into our childcare environment slowly and comfortably.
Families begin with shorter visits that increase in length over several days, giving the baby time to become familiar with caregivers, routines, and the new surroundings.
